Dr. Poologasundarampillai and Dr. Moxon lead Aegis FibreTech with a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and transformative technology. Their combined knowledge and passion for pushing the boundaries of traditional materials ensure that Aegis FibreTech delivers cutting-edge solutions to industries like automotive, motorsport, aerospace, and construction.
Dr Sam Moxon
CEO
Dr. Sam Moxon is the co-founder and CEO of Aegis FibreTech. An award-winning scientst, Sam is a Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham, focusing on advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. With a strong background in materials science, Sam brings a unique perspective to the company, with experience in developing new platforms for creating innovative products. His work in the commercialisation of advanced technologies drives Aegis FibreTech's vision of bringing cutting-edge thermal insulation products to market. Sam's expertise in science communication and his entrepreneurial spirit make him a key leader in the company's journey toward success in various high-tech sectors.
Dr. Gowsihan (Gowsh) Poologasundarampillai
CTO
Gowsh is the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Aegis FibreTech. With a background in biomaterials and bioimaging, Gowsh is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham's School of Dentistry. His research expertise lies in biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. He has over 20 years of research experience in sol-gel chemistry, with more than 50 publications and 5 patents to his name. Gowsh's groundbreaking work includes the first electrospinning of cotton-wool-like fibrous materials from sol-gel solutions, which forms the foundation of Aegis FibreTech's technology. His innovative approach to nanofibre production has earned him recognition and multiple awards, making him a leading figure in the development of advanced biomaterials.
Professor Matthew Campbell-Hill
NED
Matthew Campbell-Hill is a respected Non-Executive Director (NED) with a focus on emerging technology, regulation, and business strategy. He is a professor at the University of Birmingham, where he specializes in innovative technologies and advises on technology adoption and governance.
His roles include guiding technology-related policies for various government agencies, such as leading discussions on vehicle autonomy at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA). Campbell-Hill also chaired the review of UK Anti-Doping for the Department for Culture, Media, and Sport, and worked with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on technology regulation.
His expertise provides Aegis FibreTech with valuable insights into business strategy, compliance, and industry trends.
